Paradoxes

Mighty lessons from small teachers

Scripture

“Four things on earth are small, yet they are extremely wise: Ants are creatures of little strength, yet they store up their food in the summer; hyraxes are creatures of little power, yet they make their home in the crags; locusts have no king, yet they advance together in ranks; a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings’ palaces. – Proverbs 30:24-28

Declaration/Prayer

Lord, may we learn the lessons from these creatures and model them for our teammates…the diligence of the ant…the resourcefulness of the rock badger…the collaboration of swarming locusts…the humility of the unassuming lizard. Behold how these simple creatures display aspects of Your glory. May we pause and reflect on the profound wisdom of Your ways that are on display in Your creation. We are made in Your image; therefore, may we too display Your profound wisdom to Your glory. Amen.
