Scripture
So at last Egypt’s Pharaoh let the Israelites go. But God did not lead the Israelites through the land of the Philistines, although that was the most direct route from Egypt to the Promised Land. The reason was that God felt the people might become discouraged by having to fight their way through, even though they had left Egypt armed; He thought they might return to Egypt. Instead, God led them along a route through the Red Sea wilderness. – Exodus 13:17-18
Declaration/Prayer
Lord, we’re only one week into the New Year, so before it’s too late, I want to make sure I’ve got Your 2026 route in my GPS. Just like You wisely guided the Israelites off the beaten path for their Promised Land quest, I’m trusting Your path for my 2026 promises quest. They had no idea what to expect, and neither do I. But in these remaining 51 weeks, I know You’ll ultimately guide me to the promises You have for my life at home and at work..no shortcuts needed. Amen.
