Scripture
Paul and Silas went to Phrygia, and then on through the region of Galatia. Their plan was to turn west into Asia province, but the Holy Spirit blocked that route. So they went to Mysia and tried to go north to Bithynia, but the Spirit wouldn’t let them go there either. Proceeding on through Mysia, they went down to the seaport Troas.
That night Paul had a dream: A Macedonian stood on the far shore and called across the sea, “Come over to Macedonia and help us!” The dream gave Paul the map. They went to work at once, getting things ready to cross over to Macedonia. All the pieces had come together. They knew now for sure that God had called them to preach the good news to the Europeans. – Acts 16:6-10
Declaration/Prayer
Lord, we just crossed the halfway point for this year, and it takes me back to the BEACHHEAD BRIEFS from six months ago and the reflecting on the prior year (TWIRLS & CIRCLES) and the envisioning of this year (QUEST). And from this mission account of Paul & Silas, it’s obvious they looked to You to close and open doors, so I’m reminded also of the scripture & prayer from INQUIRE and CROSSROADS. As I continue this year’s journey of following You 24/7, I’m asking for Your Direction Detection & Course Correction. Regardless of how this year’s second half goes or where I end up, I trust You and enjoy You every step of the way. Amen.
