Scripture
This is my prayer for you:
that your love will grow more and more; that you will have knowledge and understanding with your love; that you will see the difference between what is important and what is not and choose what is important; that you will be pure and blameless for the coming of Christ; that your life will be full of the many good works that are produced by Jesus Christ to bring glory and praise to God. – Philippians 1:9-11
Declaration/Prayer
Lord, since the Apostle Paul combined a ministry with a tent making business, I feel a certain connection to him…displaying Your character and sharing Your love while serving customers and coworkers. So I’m laying claim to his 2,000-year-old prayer for my life, and work-life espcially. Every day Paul had to juggle pressing priorities like we all do, but he prayed for purified priorities in his decision making. Like Paul’s prayer intends, help me see and choose what’s important throughout my workday…pausing to ask for Your clarity as issues and opportunities arise, checking my motives and emotions, and aligning my words and actions to Your Word and will to produce an outcome that glorifies You. Amen.
