Scripture
Later on that day, the disciples had gathered together, but, fearful of the Jews, had locked all the doors in the house. Jesus entered, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.” Then He showed them His hands and side. The disciples, seeing the Master with their own eyes, were awestruck. Jesus repeated His greeting: “Peace to you. Just as the Father sent Me, I send you.” – John 20:19-20
I [Paul] also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. – Ephesians 1:19-20
For He raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. – Ephesians 2:6
Declaration/Prayer
Lord, we just celebrated the glory of Your resurrection. I can somewhat imagine the agonizing heartache Your disciples felt during Your three days in the tomb, but I can’t begin to imagine their shock when they saw You bodily resurrected. I’m sure each disciple constantly carried that memory with them as they boldly witnessed for You the rest of their days. I haven’t seen You bodily resurrected, but through the infilling of Your Holy Spirit and a repeating fulfillment of Your Word, make me a New Testament ditto disciple as I boldly witness for You today and every day. Amen.
